Beautiful Days of Gray.

May 1, 2013

Yesterday I had to drive to Greenville for a lung x-ray and pulmonology appointent. I left quite a bit earlier than I needed to so that I could take some photo detours.

At first I was a little bummed that the weather was overcast and foggy but when I got to my favorite nature reserve/walking area, I was actually glad about the fog because it made for some cool shots. (I stopped by the same place again on my way home when it was beautiful and sunny. I took some more shots of these same scenes under sunny skies which I will share another day.)

These photos are a gentle reminder that the gray days of our lives can still be beautiful.

Becky you take such beautiful pictures – doesn’t matter if it’s rainy, gray skies, foggy, blue skies, sunrise, sunset, they are all beautiful. Just have one question, I am just now putting pictures in albums I took at least 20 years ago. They have been in bags, sacks, and just have had no ambition to get started on a mountaineous task, until today. They have been sorted into categories, so that helped. Was wondering, since you take so many, do you get the prints and put them in albums right away? How many albums do you have or are they on disk/cd? Thanks.

      Sharyn,

My hat is off to you as you work on getting your pictures organized. I have a couple thousand older photos under our bed in boxes that are semi organized but they are greatly in need of further attention.

I actually stopped printing my photos several years ago; I just load them straight to my computer from the camera card. If there is a particular one I want for a special purpose (like to put in a frame) I just print out that one photo. Enjoy your organizing! 🙂

That has got to be the way to go these days. I’m going to have so many books, won’t know where to store them. Thanks for the reminder.

      • But what if the computer crashes down? I hope you have some file-saving thing? 🙂

        • Becky says:

Trine, yes, I do back up all the files on my computer so that if anything happens to it, I wouldn’t lose my pictures. That would be a bad thing to lose!
