So Inspired.

May 6, 2012

I tend to come up with a lot of excuses as to why I can’t do certain physical things, i.e.,  I have COPD, I’m too old, I’m too inflexible, I’m too weak, I’m too flabby. The list goes on.

However, this morning I ran across a 5-minute video and two things happened:  1)  I was inspired beyond words 2) my excuses shriveled up right in front of my very eyes.

(My favorite part comes at minute 3:55. Just wow.)

Hi Becky!  Thank you so much for posting that video.  I got goosebumps at 3:55!  It was definitely something I needed to see today.  I am in the process of loosing weight and getting fit.  I am at the point where I need to bump up my exercise and my husband and 2 sons (who are all atheletes) are “encouraging” me to start running.  I can think of a dozen excuses why I don’t want to run.  But, I am able bodied and I CAN run.  I will definitely keep this man’s journey in my mind as I set out on my run!

      Debbie,

Yes, that was one of the most amazing things I’ve seen to see someone like him run after knowing where he started from.

Congrats to you for losing weight and getting fit. Go for it!!

Thanks Becky for sharing this today – I needed the encouragement. I remember myself hearing those words in 1993 – less than 1% chance to walk again.

Thank you, Becky. This was just what I needed to see today. No excuses!!!

Wow!  Just wow!  I can’t think of anything more appropriate to say.  What an inspiration!  Thanks for sharing.
